Tencent seeks a dynamic HR Generalist & Culture Intern to support HR and culture initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience in HR operations and culture development, including co-creating employee engagement activities. Responsibilities encompass onboarding/offboarding, planning and executing employee engagement initiatives (team-building, wellness programs, recognition events), assisting with training operations, maintaining HR databases, gathering HR metrics, and preparing internal communications. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and ideally prior HR internship experience. Bilingual (English/Mandarin) is a plus.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated HR Generalist & Culture Intern to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting our human resources and culture initiatives. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of HR operations and culture development where you will have exposure to co-creating various employee engagement related activities during your internship with us.

We are looking for someone to either commence immediately/within short notice or in January 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in onboarding new employees, ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition for them in o the organization as well as offboarding activities
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of employee engagement and culture-building initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive work environment including team-building activities, local festivals, wellness programs, and recognition events
  • Assist in training operations including the liaison with internal and external stakeholders, training administration and logistics preparation and facilitation
  • Play an active role in maintaining and updating HR databases, employee records, and organizational charts
  • Assist in gathering HR metrics and data to support reporting and analysis of HR trends and performance
  • Prepare internal communications material including but not limited to EDMs and posters

Who We Look For

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field, ideally with prior HR internship experiences
  • Strong interest in HR management, organizational culture, and employee relations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Positive attitude, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
  • Ability to communicate bilingually (English / Mandarin) to work with both international stakeholders and China HQ based teammates will be a huge plus
