Job Description

AsRoof Stacks seeks a Head of AI to establish a new unit, recruit and manage a team, deliver innovative AI solutions for internal and external clients, and collaborate with academics on securing grants (TÜBİTAK, KOSGEB). Responsibilities include overseeing recruitment, performance evaluations, and human resource management. The ideal candidate possesses at least 10 years of software development experience, including 5+ years in AI, expertise in AI technical architectures (preferably RAG), and hands-on experience with data preparation and vector databases. Strong proficiency in Redis, in-memory, and NoSQL technologies is required.

Must have:

10+ years software development experience (5+ in AI)
Expertise in AI technical architectures (RAG)
Experience with data preparation and vector databases
Proficiency in Redis, in-memory, and NoSQL technologies

Good to have:

Experience with AI/data analytics platforms (CBOT, Watsonx, Dataiku)
Familiarity with OpenShift and Kubernetes

Key Responsibilities:

*Establishing a new unit from scratch.

*Recruiting and positioning consultants at various client sites based on the needs of partner organizations.

*Providing technical and managerial support to the newly formed team.

*Delivering innovative solutions for products used by internal and external clients.

*Collaborating with academics and consultants to manage processes related to incentives from organizations like TÜBİTAK and KOSGEB.

*Driving innovation efforts through new product and process ideas.

*Overseeing recruitment, performance evaluation, and human resource management.

Must Have:

*A minimum of 10 years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in the field of artificial intelligence.

*Proven expertise in designing AI technical architectures (preferably RAG architecture).

*Hands-on experience in developing services for data preparation layers and creating vector databases.
