The Team:

The Walmart Forecasting team partners with the Sales team to commit to, track and meet both the company’s quarterly AOP goals and the customer’s Joint Business Plan.  Additionally, the team leads the development of the customer shipment plan via accurate item level forecasts based on consumer demand in an effort to maximize volume as well as minimize risk to inventory.

Job Description

The Opportunity: 

Mattel is currently seeking a Replenishment Specialist, Walmart Forecasting in Rogers, Arkansas.  This role will be a member of a dynamic team focused on collaborative sales forecasting and inventory management.  The Forecasting Specialist will be instrumental in supporting both the Sales team and the customer inventory and planning teams in areas of forecasting, order fulfillment and planning.  This position will report to the Manager, Walmart Forecasting.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Analytical capabilities – partner with the Sales team to analyze sales trends to improve item level POS projections, inventory projections and order recommendations.
  • Partner closely with Customer Service & Logistics to ensure perfect PO’s, optimize fill rate, and improve collaboration between Mattel & Walmart transportation.
  • Walmart.com planning process: ensuring high in-stocks, optimized inventory to each fulfillment method, and forward looking collaborative plans with Walmart.
  • Drive the execution of our Direct Import business out of Asia, partnering closely with the Customer Service team in our Hong Kong office.
  • Attend internal consensus meetings to present and share understanding of POS demand forecasts, provide key data findings to cross-functional S&OP teams to reach a consensus forecast on a month to month basis.
  • Actively participate alongside Mattel sales team in key collaborative forecasting meetings with Walmart Buyers and Replenishment Managers.  Present business findings and recommend action plan for the season. 

Qualifications

    • Sound business judgment– ability to interpret issues and recommend actions to best support group, division and corporate goals
    • Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills – ability to coordinate diverse information, identify relevant data, recommend and implement corrective actions
    • Process Oriented - Ability to identify and address process improvements and share expertise with others
    • Ability to work independently to complete work and meet timelines
  • Basic Qualifications
    • Proficient in MS Office, Excel Power User
    • Have at least 5+ years relevant experience in replenishment/supply chain
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in CPG or retailer
    • Experience with order management, inventory management, collaborative planning

The annual base salary range for this position is between $87,000 and $107,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
