Job Summary:
We’re looking for a skilled contract developer to join our team for a project-based role under the Pipeline team. You’ll be responsible for developing a web application on AWS, building and maintaining APIs, and using Python as the core language. Our ideal candidate has experience with AWS services, is fluent in web technologies, and has expertise with frameworks like Reflex or similar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy a scalable web application using AWS infrastructure.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs in Python.
• Collaborate with our VFX and tech teams to integrate application features that support our VFX pipeline.
• Maintain secure coding practices, ensuring data privacy and system reliability.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficient in Python: Strong understanding of Python for web application development.
• AWS Expertise: Practical experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, etc.) for deploying and managing web applications.
• Web Development Knowledge: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and API design best practices.
• API Development: Skilled in developing and consuming APIs, with a focus on RESTful architecture.

Preferred Skills:

• Reflex or Similar Technology: Experience with Reflex or comparable web frameworks for rapid front-end development.
• VFX Studio Experience: Prior work in a VFX, media, or post-production environment is a plus but not required.

Contract Details:

• Project-Based: This is a contract role for specific projects within BarnstormVFX.
• Remote Opportunity: Open to remote candidates, with flexible working hours aligned to project timelines.
