Job Description

Tesla is seeking a skilled Body Repair Painter in Eagle Farm to join its groundbreaking Body Repair Program. Responsibilities include high-quality spray application of primers, sealers, basecoats, and clearcoats, achieving approximately 6 fully prepped repairs daily (mix of bumpers and multi-panel jobs). This role demands precise color blending and working collaboratively with prep staff and other painters. Successful candidates will have 3+ years of automotive refinishing experience using urethane systems, producing flawless finishes without sanding and buffing, and possessing strong skills in operating various hand and power tools. I-Car Australia certification and a valid driver's license are a plus. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced collision shop environment and be willing to train others and work overtime as needed.

3+ years auto refinishing experience
Urethane system expertise
Flawless finish application
Teamwork and collaboration
Hand and power tool proficiency

Good to have:

I-Car Australia certification
Experience with various tools
Willingness to train others

What You’ll Do

High quality spray application of Primers, Sealers, Basecoats, and Clearcoats
Spraying approximately 6 (Fully Prepped) RO’s per day (2 Bumper, 1 - six panel jobs, 3 - Two to three panel jobs) in state-of-the-art Downdraft spray booths
Work closely with Prep Staff and other Painters to meet work demands as a team
Invisible basecoat colour blending
Application of 2 and 3 stage colours

What You’ll Bring

3+ years of experience refinishing cars in an automotive collision repair environment utilizing urethane based refinish systems
Able to produce sprayed finishes with little or no dirt and a consistent gloss and texture matching the OEM finish without the need to sand and buff
Willingness to work overtime if required
Any certification in I-Car Australia is a plus
Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
Capable of reading and comprehending automotive repair procedures
Experience with operations and maintenance of a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipment
Must be willing to train others
Must be comfortable working in a collision shop environment
