Job Description

Luxoft seeks experienced Android Automotive App/Framework Engineers to develop an innovative in-vehicle infotainment system for electric vehicles. The role involves Android Automotive OS (AAOS) and Android Open Source Project (AOSP) application and framework development using Kotlin and Java. Responsibilities include developing Android applications, working on framework development, integrating applications into AAOS/AOSP, ensuring high performance, testing, debugging, and documentation. Knowledge of Car System UI, Car Launcher, HVAC, Media, and Car Service development is highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will possess strong Android app and framework development skills, collaborative spirit, and problem-solving abilities.

Must have:

Strong AAOS & AOSP knowledge
Kotlin/Java Android app development
Android framework development experience
Teamwork & problem-solving skills

Good to have:

Car System UI, Car Launcher, HVAC, Media, Car Service knowledge
Automotive infotainment system experience
Modern development tools & practices
Performance optimization & debugging

Project description

The international Luxoft team is looking for an experienced Android Automotive App/Framework Engineers to develop an innovative In-vehicle infotainment system for new generation of electric vehicles. The role involves working with the Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS) and the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) to develop applications and frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android app development using Kotlin and Java, and experience in developing within the Android framework. Knowledge of Car System UI , Car Launcher, HVAC, Media, Car Service development is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

Develop Android applications using Kotlin and Java.

Work on Android framework development to support application features.

Collaborate with the team to integrate applications and frameworks into the AAOS and AOSP environments.

Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications.

Conduct testing and debugging of developed applications and frameworks.

Document code and provide technical support as needed.

Skills

Must have

Strong knowledge and experience with AAOS and AOSP.

Proficiency in Android app development using Kotlin and Java.

Experience in Android framework development.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to have

Knowledge of Car System UI , Car Launcher, HVAC, Media, Car Service development.

Experience with automotive infotainment systems.

Familiarity with modern development tools and practices.

Experience with performance optimization and debugging tools.
