Job Description

The Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst at News Corp will analyze, detect, and communicate cyber threats. Responsibilities include maintaining awareness of the cyber threat landscape, adhering to documented processes for alert tickets and various monitoring tasks (brand protection, VIP protection, etc.), providing process feedback, producing threat intelligence products and reports, applying threat modeling methodologies, identifying collection gaps, and collaborating with peer teams (incident responders, SIEM engineers, vulnerability management, etc.). The ideal candidate possesses 1+ years of experience, in-depth security research experience, and a functional understanding of threat analysis models (Diamond Model, Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK).

Must have:

Job Title: Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days per week in the office)

We are looking for a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing, detecting, and communicating cyber threats. This position plays a key role in the delivery documentation for threats and also is a key collaborator with peer teams such as incident responders, SIEM engineering teams, vulnerability management, etc. This role requires 1 or more years of experience and in-depth security research experience with functional understanding of common threat analysis models.

Role Responsibilities

Maintain awareness of the cyber threat landscape and provide key/relevant updates to the leadership and InfoSec teams.

Adhere to documented processes to complete alert tickets and various types of monitoring including

Found Credentials

Sanctions Monitoring

Subscription Reselling

Fraudulent Applications

Provide process feedback for enhancement and maturity

Produce threat intelligence products, reports, and intelligence briefings to provide actionable information to NewsCorp’s tactical and strategic stakeholders.

Establish and apply a threat modeling methodology to identify, classify, prioritize, and report cyber threats using a structured approach.

Identify collection gaps and maintain a sound state of intelligence gathering practices across sources (i.e., internal, and external/open, closed).

Collaborate with peer teams such as the incident responders, SIEM engineering team, vulnerability management, Red Teams, etc., to provide relevant intelligence, priorities and assess the impact of potential threats to NewsCorp.

Minimum Qualification

Experience level 1+ years

In-depth security research experience with excellent writing and critical thinking skills.

Functional understanding of common threat analysis models such as the Diamond Model, Cyber Kill Chain, and MITRE ATT&CK.

Experience in Information Security, Threat Intelligence tools, and Management platforms.

Strong knowledge of attack vectors and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) employed by cyber threat actors.

Proven ability to convey complex/technical information effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

Security Certifications Preferred (Including but not limited to the following certifications): CTIA, GCTI, GCIH, GDAT, OSCP, CHFI, CEH.
