JOB DESCRIPTION



Ionik is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Accounting team. The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of several corporate entities, which include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Activities/Financial Close process, and Expense Report Management. You will be responsible for month-end closing, financial reporting, and audits as well as other projects.


The Accounting Manager role is remote and will report to the VP, Revenue & Accounting.


Essential Responsibilities:


  • Lead the month-end/year-end closing process across several corporate entities.
  • Prepare journal entries during month-end
  • Review and approve AP/AR
  • Analyze monthly fluctuations across the balance sheet and P&L
  • Perform month-end balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP
  • Perform analytical procedures including budgets vs actuals and variance analysis
  • Timely research and resolution of reconciling items with exceptions reported to management for review and consultation
  • Lead annual expense budget
  • Assist with the annual audit
  • Lead preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages
  • Provide support to management as needed, including ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 5+ years of professional accounting experience
  • Strong General Ledger knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Prior experience with company who engaged in annual audits.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with strong time-management skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to multitask
  • Proficiency with Oracle NetSuite a plus
