As a Vehicle Technical Artist at CIG, you'll be part of a team creating high-fidelity vehicle assets for Star Citizen and Squadron 42.  Responsibilities include hands-on implementation, performance optimization, rigging, skinning, asset markup, and supporting the vehicle content team. You will work closely with art and programming teams, develop and improve pipelines using tools like 3DS Max, MaxScript, and Python, and investigate new techniques. The role involves bringing ships to life through animation and physics tuning, and ensuring assets are technically sound for use in the games.  CIG has a reputation for creating complex, characterful vehicles that are more like mini-game levels, and you'll be contributing to their already impressive library of nearly one hundred ships.

 Role: Looking for a Senior research engineer to join our localization and mapping team Must have: <ul><li>Strong background in state-of-the-art SLAM algorithms, Visual Odometry, Localization or State Estimation/filtering techniques (Kalman Filter, Particle Filter etc.)</li><li>5+ years experience writing production quality code in C++ and deploying SLAM algorithms to real robots</li><li>Understanding of different sensor modalities (Cameras, LIDARs, RADARs, IMUs, GPS, ultrasonic sensors etc.)</li><li>Strong fundamentals in C++ and Python programming</li></ul>
Additional skills: <ul><li>MS or PhD in Computer Vision, 3D Geometry, SLAM, Localization, Mapping or a relevant field</li><li>Background in Robotics</li><li>Experience with ROS and Linux</li></ul>
