Our team at Studio Hermitage is searching for an exceptionally talented and passionate Technical Content Designer who can create, populate, manage, and oversee the content and content systems within UE5 on the first video game for Our Brilliant Ruin.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and oversee the architecture of the game’s content systems. This includes defining how copy/ text and assets (such as characters, items, levels, etc.) are organized, loaded, and managed within UE5.
  • Ensure that the content system can handle large-scale games efficiently, optimizing memory usage and load times.

  • Playtest your work, identifying issues related to gameplay, progression, or technical glitches. When they encounter bugs or issues, they report them to the relevant team members for resolution.
  • Work closely with other designers, artists, animators, sound designers, and programmers. Effective communication is key to ensuring everyone is aligned on the game’s vision.
  • Create and maintain documentation for content systems, level design guidelines, and asset pipelines.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3+ years of experience as a content, narrative, or game designer in the video game development industry.
