Senior Software Engineer, Export Engineering

The opportunity

In this role, you will join a team who’s responsible for both delivering scalable workflows to our internal and external developers, and contribute to Unity’s compliance tooling and processes. Working with the rest of your team, you will use your technical expertise to ensure that the technology Unity exports meets our legal and regulatory obligations, whether that is through manually reviewing code, or through developing or deploying tooling to perform automatic analysis. The work that you do will directly impact some of Unity's biggest markets, and help to make the company a robust player in a changing world!

What you'll be doing

• Reviewing, and developing tools to review, the source code for Unity’s products in order to make sure that everything we export is fully compliant from a legal and regulatory perspective.
• Reviewing and integrating modifications to Unity code made by our export partners, to ensure compliance according to their contractual obligations.
• Develop, maintain and operate services related to version control and developer workflows.

What we're looking for

• Strong skills in C# and/or Go
• Literacy in C/C++
• In-depth knowledge of version control systems like Git
• An ability to rapidly get your bearings in large and unfamiliar codebases

You might also have

• An interest in source code management, continuous integration, deployment and publishing
• Experience in driving workflow and processes with many stakeholders involved
