Senior Node.js Engineer - Online Gaming Platform

We're looking for a talented Senior Node.js Engineer to join our remote team and help scale our backend infrastructure.

The Role

As a Senior Node.js Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing and maintaining our high-performance, scalable backend services. You'll work closely with our product and frontend teams to deliver seamless user experiences and implement new features.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Node.js applications

• Optimize application performance and responsiveness under high-load conditions

• Implement robust security measures to protect user data and prevent fraud

• Integrate with various third-party APIs and payment gateways

• Contribute to the architecture and design of new features and systems

• Participate in code reviews and ensure high code quality standards

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Node.js and Express.js

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript

• Experience with Nest.js framework

• Experience with asynchronous programming

• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems

• Expertise in database technologies (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis)

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Knowledge of WebSocket protocols for real-time communication

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)

• Familiarity with game economies, virtual item trading, or e-commerce platforms is a plus

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a remote team environment

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with gambling or gaming industry regulations

• Knowledge of blockchain technologies and smart contracts

• Familiarity with real-time bidding systems or auction platforms

• Experience with high-frequency trading systems

• Familiarity with Xstate for state management

• PHP experience
