JR. GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Location: Remote- local to Old Lyme, Connecticut or Pompano Beach, Florida to pick up work equipment and to join biannual onsite meetings
Job Type: Contract
Compensation Range: $24 - 26 per hour

Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Jr. Graphic Designer local to Old Lyme, CT or Pompano Beach, FL to join their team for a remote contract opportunity!

As a Jr. Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating compelling and visually appealing designs that communicate our client's brand message and engage audiences. You will work closely with the marketing, product, and content teams to produce high-quality design solutions across various platforms and media.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, analyze and create visual solutions to communication problems.
• Develop overall layout and production design of publications or web interfaces as they relate to graphic design.
• Prepare sketches or layouts to present to client.
• Create charts and graphs from data given.
• Develop visual assets for print and digital media, including marketing materials, social media graphics, website elements, and presentations.
• Ensure all designs align with our brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all channels.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand design requirements and deliver creative solutions that meet project goals.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
• Perform data entry into PIM publishing software.

Qualifications:

• Experience level: Entry Level
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 0-2 Years of experience required.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including digital and print projects.
• Basic ability to utilize various forms of media, including print, electronic and film.
• Basic ability to visualize in 2D and 3D and understand aesthetic aspects of design.
• Basic ability to visualize in 2D and 3D and understand aesthetic aspects of design.
• Must have experience with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other design tools.
• Excellent typography, layout, and color theory skills.
• Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, visually appealing designs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• CSS/HTML, Data Entry, and Microsoft Excel are nice to haves
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale.
• Knowledge of the marine Industry a plus.
