HR Generalist

HR Generalist 

Job Location: Vacaville, CA (5 days Onsite) (Timings: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm PST)
Project duration: 5 months

As HR Generalist  you will be working in an office located within a prison, supporting a team of employees including Environment Custodians and individuals with disabilities. The role requires a compassionate and present approach to handling day-to-day HR/ER operations, with a focus on maintaining a positive and supportive environment for all employees.

Principal Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day HR/ER operations with compassion and confidentiality
- Manage employee relations including investigations and personnel matters
- Conduct talent acquisition activities and interviews
- Maintain Excel spreadsheet for various HR tasks
- Be present and supportive for all employees, including those with disabilities

Experience:
- Previous experience in HR/ER operations, particularly in employee relations and talent acquisition
- Proficiency in conducting investigations and handling personnel matters
- Demonstrated talent acquisition skills and experience in interview processes
- Strong computer skills with expertise in Excel and familiarity with Office 365 and TEAMS
- Experience in attending operations and safety meetings

Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Solid understanding of HR principles and practices
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and show compassion in sensitive situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Excel for spreadsheet maintenance
- Familiarity with Office 365 and TEAMS for office operations
- Experience in attending operations and safety meetings
- Positive attitude and willingness to engage and encourage employees
