About the role:

We are seeking a Product Designer (Technical) with a passion for finding solutions that allow customers to intuitively use our products. The ideal candidate will be skilled at each stage of the design process but always focused on the needs of the customer. You will work with other designers and cross-functional team members to translate the modular products’ design to factory consumable inputs.

Role will include:

By partnering with cross-functional teams, product designers and customers, you will;

• Set design requirements based on information from internal teams and user research.
• Identify new product improvement opportunities.
• Translate the modular products’ design to factory consumable inputs.
• Stay up to date on current industry trends and market conditions.
• Coordinate with other design team members to ensure consistent and accurate communication.
• Modify and revise existing designs to meet changing customer preferences.
• Work closely with product design, Engineering Teams and manufacturing partners to ensure seamless and accurate design across all stages.

Desired Skills and Functional Experience

• • Proven experience in all phases of the design process including user research, product prototyping and having worked on tools/softwares like Autocad, IMOS.
• Experience of having worked directly with panel-based factories/manufacturing partners.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members.
• Ability to collect and interpret both qualitative and quantitative feedback.
• Ability to effectively communicate and persuade around design concepts.
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Dynamic, creative personality, effective at engaging and influencing a variety of audiences.
• Experience in Modular Furniture Industry or Interior Furnishing.
• High Levels of Ownership and Drive.
• Extremely hard-working and committed to the cause / values / vision of UL.
