About The Role Landell Games is looking for an enthusiastic Level Designer Intern who is eager to learn and contribute to our creative team. If you have a passion for game design and some foundational knowledge in creating engaging game environments, this 3 month unpaid internship could be your perfect start in the gaming industry. <ul><li>Assist in designing and prototyping game levels under the guidance of our experienced designers.</li><li>Learn and apply basic use of level editing tools to create immersive environments.</li><li>Collaborate with other team members to ensure the functionality and aesthetics of levels.</li><li>Participate in playtesting sessions and integrate feedback to improve level design.</li><li>Help maintain design documentation and contribute to creative discussions. </li></ul>
Please note this is a 3 month unpaid internship with the possibility to extend. Who We Think You Are <ul><li>A genuine passion for games and an interest in level design.</li><li>Some familiarity with game design concepts and level editing tools such as level flow, affordances, push &amp; pull, etc.</li><li>Creative thinking and basic problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.</li><li>Share a portfolio that demonstrates your process of designing a level: from initial concept, through creating top-down map and/or block-out to finalizing the level.</li><li>Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate from a relevant degree program, or self-taught with some basic projects to show. </li></ul>
