TT Games was acquired by Warner Bros. in 2007 and went on to develop the hit LEGO games franchise. The company is proud to continue its mission to be the leading publisher of interactive entertainment for young gamers and their families.
The Role
As part of the LEGO Team, the successful candidate will work alongside the Character, Environment and Model Art disciplines at Tt Games. You will be responsible for the maintenance of the LEGO brick database as well as driving the visual quality of LEGO art on all current game platforms, including the integration of associated technologies into Unreal. You will need to have a proactive approach to tasks alongside a friendly and approachable personality, as you will often be a point of contact.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Development of Tt Games LEGO Brick Database.
- Development and progression of the LEGO shader and material library.
- Collaboration with Art and Design disciplines to maintain and develop workflows using the most up-to-date technologies available for manipulating and rendering LEGO bricks in Unreal Engine.
- Liaising with stakeholders such as The LEGO Group and Tt Games Art disciplines.
- Proactively use knowledge and experience to identify and solve problems before they affect the development team.
- Assisting with other Technical Art solutions within the business should the need arise.
Required
- Deep understanding of PBR shading principals and lighting techniques.
- Strong experience in content creation tools (Substance Designer, Painter, Photoshop, Maya, Houdini, etc.).
- Able to use 3D and/or procedural techniques to create high-quality materials.
- Excellent technical skills to manage assets that fit memory, design, and frame rate limitations.
- Experience creating Custom Tools, Scripts and Shaders.
- Excellent at both technical and creative problem-solving with a high attention to detail.
- Proven Games industry experience, having shipped title(s) on current console generation.

- Passion for tools and pipelines with a focus on future areas and trends.
- Comfortable working and developing in a multi-platform, multi-project environment.
- Prepared to learn and/or develop new tools during pre-production.
- A keen gamer and an appreciation of the visuals and user experience on all platforms.
- Familiarity with The LEGO Group’s bricks and their component parts.
- Experience with source control programmes such as Perforce & SVN.
- Use of production tracking tools such as JIRA & Confluence.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
