As a Vehicle Technical Artist at CIG, you'll be part of a team creating high-fidelity vehicle assets for Star Citizen and Squadron 42.  Responsibilities include hands-on implementation, performance optimization, rigging, skinning, asset markup, and supporting the vehicle content team. You will work closely with art and programming teams, develop and improve pipelines using tools like 3DS Max, MaxScript, and Python, and investigate new techniques. The role involves bringing ships to life through animation and physics tuning, and ensuring assets are technically sound for use in the games.  CIG has a reputation for creating complex, characterful vehicles that are more like mini-game levels, and you'll be contributing to their already impressive library of nearly one hundred ships.

 Job Summary Responsible for developing original treatments, stories, scripts, and dialogue for assigned game project. This role provides a key component of the studio's mission to create games that have a positive and lasting impact on people's lives by writing compelling stories and by modeling great collaboration. Essential Functions And Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: <ul><li> Works with Creative Director, story team, and other production members to develop characters, plot, and key storytelling moments</li><li> Writes scripts for games with emphasis on complete description of scenes and characters (camera moves, facial expressions, sets, lighting, etc.)</li><li> Writes scripts for real-time and cinematics sequences, and coordinates with various groups to get them implemented</li><li> Participates in writer's room sessions for brainstorming, story development, and narrative problem solving. </li><li> Regularly reviews scripts by other writers and gives thoughtful feedback. </li><li> Provides notes and feedback to other production departments to shape and hone the expression of story</li><li> Responds to notes from and works closely with brand and publishing partners to achieve story goals</li><li> Writes a variety of dialogue for AI and emergent gameplay events</li><li> Works closely with the production team to create and implement in-game moments to reinforce the story arc</li><li> Writes game trailers and other extraneous projects as necessary (examples: marketing pieces, web content, etc.)</li><li> Assists in writing all text and dialogue in game (menus, descriptions, etc.)</li><li> Maintains schedule and scope during various stages of production</li><li> Demonstrates an understanding of resource limitations and works closely with other production departments to find elegant solutions to complex story problems</li><li> Other duties may be assigned </li></ul>
