Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team and lead the development of our ML infrastructure, from model training to deployment, enabling us to deliver advanced and impactful solutions to our clients. As the Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Oportun, you will assume a pivotal role in elevating our ML capabilities, responsible for conceiving and implementing a state-of-the-art machine learning infrastructure. Your mastery of a ML domain enables you to take up business problems and solve them with a AI/ML solution. With your depth of expertise and leadership abilities, you will actively contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior ML engineers, and collaborate closely with diverse teams, including data scientists, and engineers, to deliver high-quality Ml solutions that redefine the norms of FinTech. Your profound expertise in architecting and deploying machine learning models will be instrumental in propelling our products to new dimensions of sophistication and success. Qualifications <ul><li>Requires 6+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science; or a Master's degree with an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Extensive experience orchestrating the development of end-to-end machine learning infrastructure for intricate and large-scale applications.</li><li>Proven record of transformative leadership, guiding technical teams to achieve remarkable outcomes and innovation.</li><li>Proven track record of delivering sophisticated ML solutions with high quality.</li><li>Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a passion for tackling complex technical and business problems. challenges.</li><li>Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.</li><li>Profound mastery of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent, coupled with Python programming.</li><li>Deep expertise in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for orchestrating complex machine learning applications.</li><li>Thorough comprehension of software engineering principles, version control (Git), and collaborative development workflows.</li><li>Adeptness with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and utilization of cloud-native services for crafting robust ML infrastructure.</li><li>Track record of successfully integrating DevOps practices, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment. </li></ul>
