As a Vehicle Technical Artist at CIG, you'll be part of a team creating high-fidelity vehicle assets for Star Citizen and Squadron 42.  Responsibilities include hands-on implementation, performance optimization, rigging, skinning, asset markup, and supporting the vehicle content team. You will work closely with art and programming teams, develop and improve pipelines using tools like 3DS Max, MaxScript, and Python, and investigate new techniques. The role involves bringing ships to life through animation and physics tuning, and ensuring assets are technically sound for use in the games.  CIG has a reputation for creating complex, characterful vehicles that are more like mini-game levels, and you'll be contributing to their already impressive library of nearly one hundred ships.

 As a Visualizer, you are a creative, prolific thinker and doer —contributing to concepts and hands-on production in collaboration with the creative team. You would be required to work on visual concepts that could be used for print, web, audiovisual, or any innovative medium. You are passionate about the use of graphic design as a strategic tool for communication and must work towards achieving excellence in the areas of typography, illustration, design, and layout that together comprise effective visual communication. RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Exploring and conceptualizing design options and solutions</li><li>Working on design &amp; layout that would include the initial handwork, scribbles, design balancing, key subject highlighting and color planning</li><li>Working on the typography: font selection, size selection, text layout</li><li>Knowledge of visual communications and letterforms including art materials, drawing, and fabrication techniques</li><li>Maintaining / Organizing files or designs</li><li>Working with photographers and contribute to photography sessions to ensure the appropriate photo/image is taken</li><li>Managing certain client projects independently when required</li><li>Demonstrating attention to detail to deliver a perfect final output in the form of print ready-artwork or jpegs for web</li></ul>
