SummaryBy Outscal

Senior Copywriter needed for Battlefield franchise. Must have experience with marketing copy, short-form copy, and brand campaigns. Video game experience is a plus.

Senior Copywriter, Marketing Copy Team

Our Marketing Team exists to tell the story of Electronic Arts and expand the positive power of play. We develop and execute the strategic vision of our products, run world-class multi-channel campaigns, work on creative global engagement across all touchpoints, and ensure our brand is awesome everywhere we show up.

The Marketing Copy Team is looking for a writer to join a small, tactical group focused on producing high-volume, high-quality copy that works across EA’s best franchises including The Sims, Battlefield, EA SPORTS FC, Need for Speed, and many more. We blend insights with storytelling and technology to push the boundaries of marketing.

This writer will be focused on copy for the Battlefield franchise. We’re looking for a writer who not only has experience with marketing copy, but also gets the sensibilities of an action-packed, high-octane franchise like Battlefield.

This is a collaborative team, so it’s important to be someone who isn’t afraid to ask questions while focusing on output. You’ll work with multiple partner teams on everything from emails to in-game assets – and there’s nothing like the feeling of seeing your words on an Xbox or PlayStation screen and knowing millions of players will too. You will work both locally and remotely with a team spanning the globe in this role, reporting to the Creative Lead of the Marketing Copy Team.

Responsibilities

  • The ability to write end-to-end campaign copy across the EA and first-party marketing ecosystem
  • Partner with design teams to help uphold our visual look, feel, and messaging across multiple brand-level campaigns under the guidance of EA SPORTS creative and senior leadership
  • Experience the melding of creativity and technology to help make our team’s production process efficient and partner-friendly
  • A deep sense of curiosity and willingness to ask questions and work with a variety of teams and partners throughout the marketing organization and beyond

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a marketing copywriter with plenty of examples of short-form copy (emails, ad banners, web copy, etc.)
  • Experience working on brand campaigns from vision to completion
  • Entertainment industry or video game experience a huge plus
