JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer eager to make a significant impact in a dynamic and growing company focused on enhancing its products through innovative ideas. The ideal candidate will improve existing designs, solve known problems, and analyze opportunities for cost reduction, quality enhancement, and lifecycle goal achievement. This role involves working on mechanical and electromechanical components and assemblies related to casino and amusement gaming cabinets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers, as well as software, regulatory, and game studio teams, including artists and programmers.
• Primarily focus on current design iterations while remaining flexible to assist with new designs as needed.
• Research and analyze various gaming markets to understand their needs and ensure excellence in our mechanical design-controlled products.
• Conduct visits to local suppliers and participate in occasional out-of-state travel for trade shows and customer engagements.

• Proficient in hand sketching and creating mockups.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of human factors in engineering and ergonomics.
• Familiarity with various materials and manufacturing processes, including sheet metal, plastics (injection molding and thermoforming), and wood.
• Proven experience collaborating with production, manufacturing, and service technician teams to create designs that prioritize manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, and safety.
• Experience in conducting product risk assessments and total quality evaluations.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, including detailed design and project completion.
• High proficiency in CAD solid modeling software (SolidWorks preferred), with experience in sheet metal, plastics, and wood.
• Successful track record in multiple product introduction (NPI) design cycles, particularly in cost reduction and product improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with total product lifecycle management and implementation.
• Experience in casino gaming and manufacturing is a plus.
• Background in mechanical and electronic consumer product design is desirable.
