Dimension Studio is a realtime 3D production studio, leading in end-to-end virtual production and advanced virtual humans. The Head of Marketing & Communications role

This role is responsible for shaping, implementing and monitoring the marketing and communications strategy, reporting to the Dimension’s Co-Founder and Co-CEO. With two direct reports, a PR agency and access to a team of designers and video editors, you’ll lead earned, owned and paid marketing activities, ultimately driving new business enquiries and growing awareness of Dimension and its sister brands in the burgeoning virtual production space. The Head of Marketing role is key to capturing and telling the stories behind our top tier film, TV and entertainment  productions, the people behind them, and pioneering research and development work.


Key responsibilities for the Head of Marketing & Communications

  • Plan and deliver high quality, highly visible campaigns that are reflective of the blockbuster productions and brilliant creative teams that we work with.
  • Lead the creation of killer content (case studies, videos, stills) that captures what’s driving the people behind the work and the key benefits of our services for filmmakers and storytellers.
  • Drive the social strategy, growing engagement and audience, approving content calendar and posts.
  • Liaise with studio publicity teams for approvals for all promo materials, award entries and conference appearances.
  • Be a brand champion, owning the visual brand and ensuring its fair use, ultimately increasing awareness of and positivity around the brand.
  • Build relationships with industry bodies, partners and suppliers to collaborate on opportunities for co-promotion.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align on company objectives and progress
  • Work with department heads to ensure marketing is considered for all client engagements. Work closely with and advise productions on launch plans where relevant.
  • Keep in touch with the executive producers and their needs for brochures or decks that will support them in winning new projects.
  • Own the Dimension website, ensuring copy is compelling and SEO-effective, content is fresh, and managing further design work. 
  • Track inbound leads using Hubspot CRM.
  • Manage an ongoing calendar of events, sourcing and secure relevant speaking opportunities. Manage awards submissions and approvals.
  • Lead a PR agency, ensuring the team is working in line with company objectives. You may be required to write press releases and manage journalist relationships directly on occasion.
  • Oversee events - both open houses that bring prospective clients into our spaces, and employee engagement events such as screenings and holiday parties. 
  • Lead the marketing team, growing in line with business objectives, setting clear goals and KPIs.
  • Report on success of marketing campaigns on a monthly and annual basis, analysing what is successful and making recommendations for the future. 


Essential requirements for the Head of Marketing & Communications

  • 7+ years of experience in a marketing role, with recent relevant experience in a senior position.
  • Articulate and well-written, with strong copywriting experience. While English doesn’t need to be your native language, you’ll need an exceptional command of the English language in both writing and speech, able to leverage it with nuance and flair.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Experience in VFX, film or other entertainment production companies.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects while balancing creativity with data-driven decision making.
  • Self-motivated, approachable and tenacious, getting great results from staff at all levels.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • Right to work in the UK.

 

Desirable requirements for the Head of Marketing & Communications

  • Knowledge of crafting and implementing go-to-market (GTM) strategies for B2B companies.
  • Experience with HubSpot, Google Analytics and Social Analytics.
