At Small World Games, we build metaverse games on the Roblox platform with over 2B+ unique play sessions and >30M MAU! We are an indie studio based in Bangalore, India. Our games are played in over 100 countries worldwide and have been viewed over 1B+ times on platforms like YouTube and Twitter. We also partner with massive brands to create engaging and exciting experiences on Roblox

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure web APIs to handle HTTP POST/GET requests from our Roblox games.
• Build and maintain databases like MongoDB and Redis to store and manage leaderboard data, transaction logs, and player analytics.
• Create and manage front-end interfaces for interacting with backend systems, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Work on full-stack solutions, integrating front-end elements into the overall architecture.
• Ensure high performance and reliability of backend infrastructure, supporting large numbers of concurrent players.
• Implement security protocols to protect game data and prevent unauthorized access.
• Collaborate with game developers to integrate both front-end and back-end systems seamlessly into our games.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to full-stack systems.

Desirable Skills:

• 3+ years of experience as a full stack developer, particularly for gaming or real-time applications.
• Strong experience with both front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end (Node.js, Python, Go, etc.) technologies.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining databases such as MongoDB and Redis.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
• Strong experience with RESTful API development.
• Knowledge of security best practices in full-stack development and API management.
• Experience with game development is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
