We are looking for a Chief Accountant to join our Warsaw site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bookkeeping operations, including A/P, A/R, and GL;
• Maintain and update the Accounting Policy;
• Prepare and submit tax returns (VAT, CIT) and periodic statistical reports;
• Prepare financial statements (Polish GAAP/IFRS);
• Cooperate with external institutions and represent the company (tax office, ZUS, GUS, auditors);
• Post payroll and settle employee advances and business trips;
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, including tax regulations;
• Manage vendor settlements;
• Support monthly and yearly closes, including corporate reporting;
• Participate in accounting system improvements (e.g., FIFO revaluation, JPK).

Requirements

• Experience in a relevant field or role (5+ years);
• Strong ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment;
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
• High attention to detail and accuracy;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Fluency in English and Polish.
