 <ul><li>Liaising with concept artists and animators about the physical attributes and movements of characters. </li><li>Drawing character sketches showing key movements. </li><li>Articulating characters within environments, layouts and backgrounds. </li><li>Creating joints and moving points to rotate and pivot. Designing, testing and maintaining character set ups. </li><li>Ensuring character movements are fluid, free of glitches and believable. </li><li>Writing MEL scripts to customize software to specific animation requirements. </li><li>Developing tools and plug-ins to optimize animation. </li><li>Testing rigs and ensuring they hold up in animation. </li></ul>
Requirements <ul><li>Solid knowledge of human and animal anatomy. </li><li>Skills in facial animation preferably. </li><li>Strong mastering of MAYA rigging tools especially for the creation of joints and skeletons, skinning and weighting, IK configuration, blend shapes and deformers, nodes dependency. </li><li>Ability to articulate emotion through character facial and physical expression. Ability to create character gait, walk and body language. </li><li>Highly organized, ability to work methodically.</li></ul>
