This digital artist student position will provide you with extensive learning opportunities in the creation of LED and LCD display content as it applies to the advertising, retail, corporate, or sport industry. You will be prepared for full-time employment through exposure to creative processes and by honing your technical skills on manipulating and combining graphics with text to enhance and complement the brands of our potential display owners.</div><div><br>
</div><div>To be successful in this position one must have a strong demonstrated understanding of design principles and have the talent to clearly articulate ideas through visualization and 3D technical graphics.</div><div></div><div><br>
Position has opportunity to work from a US Based home office. Candidates must be enrolled as a student and registered for at least 12 credits. Ideal candidates should be available to work approximately 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.</div><div></div><div><br>
Digital Artist/Motion Graphics students will:</div><ul><li>
Design and create animations for video and message displays using 2D graphics and video editing applications.</li><li>
Design and create static artwork for LED and LCD displays using various graphics editing applications.</li><li>
Produce and present design and animations from concept to completion for sponsors, sales, and consumer/fan enhancement.</li><li>
Able to work as a team to understand the market or customer vision and develop on-target creative solutions.</li><li>
Create artistic content targeted at a variety of display sizes and adhere to the customer branding.</li><li>
Create concepts of display projects, along with animations and graphic frames for demonstrations and presentations to customers.</li><li>
Ability to learn Daktronics products and control systems.</li><li>
Have a good understanding and knowledge of variety of retail and commercial niche but also sports and how the design can enhance the end user experience.</li><li>
Ability to anticipate customer concerns in the context of revisions.</li><li>
Working within a creative project management system.</li><li>

What is the pay and perks?</b></div><div>
The typical hiring pay for this position is $13.75/hour to $14.25/hour. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experiences, location, and applicable local legislation.</div><div></div><div><br>
Students with GPA of 3.5 and above are eligible for a $500 bonus (Academic Excellence Reward) each semester completed while employed.</div><div><br>

Qualifications:

Academic Requirements:</div><ul><li>
The preferred candidate will be currently enrolled as a student and registered for at least 12 credits in an accredited bachelor’s degree program in Visual Graphics, Motion Graphics, Graphic Design or related program.
</li><li>The preferred candidate will be in their sophomore or junior year of school.</li><li>
Only strong academic performers in undergraduate coursework will be considered.</li><li>
Must maintain an acceptable GPA.</li><li><b>
Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application to be considered for this position.</b></li></ul><div>
Other Requirements:</div><ul><li>
Good oral and written communication skills.</li><li>
Good organizational skills.</li><li>
Self-motivation.</li><li>
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.</li><li>
Microsoft office experience preferred.</li><li>
Willingness to learn.</li><li>
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>
