Role and Responsibilities

The Automotive System Marketing Manager plays a leading role in the Automotive System Engineering and Marketing (ASEM) team, working closely with engineering leads, product managers and global sales teams to help create most successful system marketing strategies to win at Automotive customers (OEM and Tier1) on targeted Electrification Systems.

This role has a primary objective to define and execute a winning strategy in Automotive Electrification and successfully engage with the OEMS, Tier-1s and other customers with grow NXPs leadership positions with the System Marketing Electrification Team.

The system marketing manager is interfacing directly with the OEM and the global ecosystem to position NXP portfolio in a system context.

The objective is to build expertise at system level within NXP and to engage with the OEM advanced engineering team to offer support on sub-systems where NXP is building expertise. Such sub-systems are leveraging NXP expertise and portfolio in processing, networking, power distribution, security and safety.

Job Summary

  • Develop a system market understanding, ecosystem dynamics, competition benchmarking and propose unique system value proposition.
  • Position NXP as the trusted partner for automotive HW and SW solutions for Electrification
  • Define and position the future, differentiated system roadmap with System-level value proposition at the different regional OEMs
  • Identify system reference platforms and proof of concepts including business case required to address a customer opportunity.
  • Create aligned system roadmap maximizing value add of NXP products.
  • Influence PL roadmaps and propose new NPIs derived from system requirements
  • Drive x-Org collaboration and coordinate with system engineering teams solution specs for successful go-to-market.
  • Generate incremental revenue and drive Design-Wins with system approach. Quantify and keep track of System business KPIs
  • Nurture dedicated OEM customer relations at system level for Automotive Electrification Systems and influence their choices.
  • Create collateral to communicate and train global Regional Marketing teams on our Electrification strategy and Go-To-Market plans
  • Collaborate with Sales, Automotive Product Lines, CTO and technical experts to define and implement an overall solution positioning
  • Develop and propose ecosystem partners to enhance and support our automotive strategy including strategic partners
  • Support Marcom activities to propagate Electrification message via our NXP marcom teams

Core Competencies

  • Experience with engineering vehicle electrification system, including MCU/MPU products and software, such as Battery management system, Traction Inverter and On Board Charger.
  • Customer focused mind-set. Understanding market needs and translate into solutions
  • Experience interfacing with system engineering teams, field sales and global organizations
  • Ability to think and plan globally, and execute locally within key regions, understanding critical marketing, product, and segment details
  • Strong business and technical acumen, customer focus/ external orientation
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills - internally and with external parties (customers, partners,…).
  • Strong desire to keep learning, natural curiosity with broad interest and knowledge in the business
  • Creative, outside the box thinker / visionary willing to develop new paths and improve established ways of working
  • Organized – Able to prioritize and focus. Capable to manage multiple tasks, and anticipate and plan around obstacles
