Senior Backend Developer

What We Need

Community Gaming is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Kotlin and Java Spring Boot, with experience in MongoDB. Solid understanding of NodeJS and SQL are desirable. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems to ensure they meet the highest standards of performance, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Kotlin and Java Spring Boot.
• Integrate with MongoDB, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of NodeJS and its frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (English) and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
