RUN Studios and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking an enthusiastic Conversational (VUI) Designer to help define and drive the future of AI. In this role, you will work with voice and graphic interface in a fast-paced environment to make the best use of conversational AI technology while ensuring a good user experience. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and marketing both inside our organization and with partner teams.

There is no targeted start date for this project, it is slated to be anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months. You must be based in the Seattle area and be available to work on-site to be considered.

As a Conversational Designer, You Will:

  • Design conversational AI experiences that are natural and engage customers and answer their questions or take actions on transactions. Ensure conversations leverage consistent brand, voice, and tone to inspire customer confidence.
  • Identify new intent opportunities to increase the self-containment and simplify agent processes aligning with overall communication channel strategy.
  • Design the user experience of key, differentiated features for this product
  • Communicate and specify design concepts, solutions, and needs to senior executives

 

As an Applicant, You Bring:

  • Portfolio of shipped work demonstrating Conversational Design and UX/VUI design and understanding of user-centered design principles
  • SSML experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Conversation Designer or a similar role
  • A bachelor's degree in design, interaction or a related UX degree, or commensurate industry experience

Compensation:

Pay Range: $75-120 (Hourly)

The successful candidate’s starting pay within this range will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.

Benefits: 

Benefits and perks may vary depending on location and nature of the work, but eligible employees have access to medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D benefits, health savings and flexible spending accounts, other telehealth and wellness benefits, a minimum of seven paid holidays per year, accrual of at least 6.5 days (Temporary Employment) to at least 15 days (Regular Employment) of paid time off per year, a 401k plan with company match, discretionary bonuses dependent on company, team or individual performance, and referral bonuses for eligible hired referrals.
